The property itself is quiet and pretty.

During my stay, I encountered several challenges. The first night was disrupted by loud noise from other guests, causing significant sleep loss. Additionally, while I appreciated the access to a small refrigerator, it would’ve been even better to have an Honor bar for late-night drinks, which I felt was lacking.

I highly enjoyed my stay at La Casa Carlota. The cozy roof terrace provided a perfect space for relaxation and sunset views. The breakfast each morning was a delightful surprise, featuring fresh fruits, homemade yogurt, and local hot dishes, which always brought a taste of Oaxaca to the table. The staff greeted me with such warm hospitality from the moment I arrived, going out of their way to share local recommendations and tips. However, the room felt a bit chilly at times, despite having a heater available. Also, noise from nearby events occasionally disrupted the tranquil atmosphere.

Perfect for a nice family getaway

Spent 14 nights here, the staff were great,, especially in a medical emergency, they were right there to help us out. Breakfast was never boring, with a different local dish each day, it felt like we were getting a taste of the culture right at our table.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but I found it still to be acceptable.
